At the 2023 Hunan Cultural Tourism Industry Expo held from September 15 to 17, the Xiangxi exhibition area showcased Xiangxi’s rich and high-quality cultural tourism resources, profound cultural heritage, unique cultural tourism products and charming folk customs, attracting many tourists.
At the summary meeting of the achievements of the expo, Xiangxi Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television won the Excellent Organization Award and Excellent Booth Award. Jishou City and Longshan County were selected among the “top 30 participating counties (cities)”, and Jiugui Liquor Co., Ltd. garnered the transaction contribution award.
These awards will strongly promote the development of Xiangxi’s tourism commodities, help create a number of brands of “tourism commodities” with characteristics of Xiangxi, and effectively promote the upgrade of tourism consumption in Xiangxi.
On September 1, during the 13th China Tourism Industry Expo, in the 2023 China Special Tourism Product Competition held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin), Hunan’s tourism commodities won 2 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals, among which the Jiugui Liquor’s zodiac liquor of the Year of the Ox of Xiangxi won the gold medal. Relying on the traditional paper-cutting skills of Xiangxi’s intangible cultural heritage artists, the zodiac liquor integrates traditional cultural elements such as zodiac ox, wooden cabinet, bronze lock and paper-cutting art.
